Thanks to Ms.Donna Burney (Niece of LTjg. Alfred DeCesaro) for her help on this site, and to ARM2c John Montgomery for his heartfelt story. I'm also indebted to Cdr. Hamilton McWhorter, the Essex Association publication "Buccaneer", and a special thank you to Jim Purtell, and Carl Palermo for the wealth of information about Airgroup 83, and Dave Miller of VT15 for giving me an inkling of what it must have been like to fly in the back seat of a TBM.
Thanks to Pilots Hamilton McWhorter, Norm Stark, Warren Parrish, Edward Pappert, and Walter Fontaine, and to Combat Aircrewmen John Eberhart, Jim Purtell, Dave Miller and Walter J. Deptula-Drew, and to all the other airmen, and family members of airmen who have contributed to these pages.
We have lost the original owner of this magnificent web site, Robert "Guns" Sourisseau today, 25 February 2006, to lung cancer. Guns turned the ownership of this web site over to do whatever I wanted but why change something so spectacular. This site will stay as Guns made it, in it's original contents.
May he Rest in Peace.
